Coursing Units from H+H Celcon – Enables Builders to Comply with Building Regulations

H+H Celcon’s Coursing Units are produced from the same material as conventional size Celcon blocks. They have a face size of 215mm x 65mm and are available in thicknesses from 100mm to 150mm, match our product range.

When used with conventional size Celcon blocks, Coursing Units enable builders to comply with Building Regulations simply by ensuring a consistency in materials within the building fabric, reducing thermal bridging. (Storey height (2.4m) when built with traditional mortar is ten courses of 215mm blocks and two of coursing units).

They are suitable for all the same applications as conventional size blocks reducing costs by saving time on site, significantly reducing the need for cutting and thus site wastage.

They are suitable for use both externally and internally in loadbearing* and non-loadbearing situations above and below dpc.

*Walls should not be constructed with Coursing Units as the sole masonry unit. For loadbearing walls, the location of Coursing Units should be confirmed with the designer.
