In 2006 we said goodbye to around 100 pieces of legislation affecting fire safety, when new regulations came into force.
The effect of the new Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, 2005 was to abolish fire certificates
and place responsibility for fire safety squarely on the shoulders of “The Responsible Person”.
