California now has the nation’s first green building code – and there is no question that that implementation of AB 32 will further change the way buildings are made. Companies that know how to build energy-efficient, low-emission buildings have more of an edge than ever – and government buyers need to know who these companies are.
2009 is likely to be the biggest year of growth in the green sector that we have seen yet. At the federal level there are plans in place to rebound the economy through alternative, sustainable solutions. And at the state level we will continue to see growth in this area. Companies that are interfacing with the State and Local government are and will continue to reap the benefits of this thriving economy.
