Granada Tile Introduces Hand Made Concrete Tiles

Granada Tile, a Los Angeles, California based company that provides handmade environment friendly concrete and cement tiles, has launched three new types of cement tiles after the conclusion of Coverings international tile and flooring show held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Granada Tile's Antique Collection

The new tile products include leathered Antique Collection, sensuous thin Mauresque Collection and Moroccan zellij-inspired Minis Collection. The inclusion of the new tiles expands the company’s cement tile offerings to six unique collections.

The Antique Cement Tile Collection brought out by the company has a leathered style that was popular in the time of grand haciendas, with hammered wrought iron, hand-hewn dark brown terracotta tiles, and thick adobe walls. The antique concrete tiles provide a number of advantages such as durability and non-chipping qualities over older types of terracotta tiles. The tiles are not baked and are only air cured to make them more eco-friendly.

The Mauresque Cement Tile range was inspired from French and Moroccan influences and incorporates sensuous and organic shapes. The hand made tiles are air cured and offered in colors that equal the depth and richness of sea shells and the sea. The concrete tiles are stronger than the glazed tiles and normally do not chip.

The Minis Cement Tile Collection offered in 2-1/4” was inspired from Moroccan Zelliji influence. The tiles can be utilized as a single color to produce a continuous wave of either mixed and matched or color to create an intricately woven carpet. The tiles are perfect for use in fireplace areas, kitchen backsplashes, walls and bathroom floors.
