Sonoma State University in California will be introducing a course in green building as of January 2004. The year long Green Building Professional Certificate is targeted at architects, engineers, construction personnel and members of the building industry and will challenge them to design, develop and build spaces in harmony with the environment. Graduates will leave with an in-depth understanding of the social, economic and environmental issues related to the design and construction of residential and commercial buildings.
