Skanska USA has bought a construction company, Industrial Contractors, and other companies associated with it for 135 million US dollars. The acquired company is based at Indiana and is a prominent name in the commercial, industrial and power markets of the Midwest. There are around 2,400 employees in the company. The acquiring order was signed on 28 December.
The three main market sectors that Industrial Contractors operates in are Power and Energy, Commercial Light and Heavy Industry. All these three sectors add to the capabilities at Skanska. Industrial Contractors has recently completed a natural gas-fired, cycle facility in Ohio. Skanska’s work culture is committed to safety, ethics and giving back to the community. With the acquisition, the current management team at Industrial Contractors will remain the same and the President will continue to run the day to day business.
