JetBlue Airways is once again partnering with KaBOOM!, the City of Revere and The Neighborhood Developers to construct its 14th playground at Costa Park in Revere, Massachusetts, on June 20.

Hundreds of volunteers are coming together to construct the second Revere playground for 2-5 year olds. Last October, JetBlue built a playground in Revere for 5-12 year olds. The new playground will be the fourth one in Boston and the second in Costa Park.

Icema Gibbs, JetBlue's Director of Corporate Responsibility, stated that this is the first time the company has built two neighboring playgrounds for 5-12 year olds and 2-5 year olds to provide safe spaces for kids to play. Darell Hammond, Founder and CEO of KaBOOM!, said that the company is delighted to work with JetBlue to make playgrounds for children in Revere.

Costa Park on Shirley Avenue near the Revere Beach T stop needed a second playground to meet children’s play needs. Therefore, JetBlue is partnering with KaBOOM!, a non-profit organization and local residents to build a second children's playground for 2-5 year old kids. The new play ground, once completed, will provide play space for up to 500 children.

Ann Houston from The Neighborhood Developers stated that the company is thrilled to welcome JetBlue volunteers to complete the new playground along with community volunteers. Mayor Daniel Rizzo said that the City of Revere is delighted to team up with JetBlue, KaBOOM! and The Neighborhood Developers to reconstruct Costa Park.

JetBlue Airways has helped construct children's playground in various cities including Orlando and Kissimmee in Florida, New York, Long Island City, Long Beach, California, Salt Lake City, Utah, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Washington DC.
