Smith & Fong Plyboo utilizes 100% FSC certified bamboo and NAUF (no added urea formaldehyde) adhesives which help the Rose Bowl project meet the qualifications for LEED certification.

The PlybooPure Strand Bamboo flooring was chosen for its high strength, appearance and manufacturing quality. When compared to red oak, it has twice the durability. It has a hardness rating of 3,500 psi. Further, the flooring has received FloorScore certification and has cleared the CA Section 01350 certification.

Smith and Fong Plyboo’s Havana and Sahara Strand Bamboo flooring has been selected for installation in the VIP suites and the Press Box of the Rose Bowl Stadium. Around 17,550 ft2 of Havana and Sahara Strand Bamboo flooring are to be installed as part of the renovation of the iconic stadium.

Clark Construction has been selected for building the Rose Bowl Stadium renovation project.

Angus Stocks, the Vice President of Sales at Plyboo, stated that the company utilizes 100% FSC certified bamboo, and has passed the tough CA Section 01350 certification.

The installation of bamboo flooring demonstrates the project’s commitment to sustainability and green initiatives.
