U.S. Concrete Acquires Two Sand and Gravel Operations near Vernon and Waurika

U.S. Concrete, Inc. announced today that it acquired select assets of E&A Materials, Inc. ("E&A") and Pitts Sand & Gravel, Inc. ("Pitts") headquartered in Wichita Falls, TX. The acquisition includes two sand and gravel operations near Vernon, TX and Waurika, OK.

The impact of these sand and gravel operations will strengthen U.S. Concrete's presence and vertically integrated capabilities within attractive existing markets. U.S. Concrete plans to improve the operating dynamics of its North Texas and Southern Oklahoma operations by combining the efforts of this business into one cohesive unit with our existing ready-mixed concrete operations.

"We are excited to welcome this highly complementary business to our growing family of companies and, specifically, this addition to our aggregates operations," said U.S. Concrete President and CEO, William J. Sandbrook. "This acquisition provides us a unique opportunity to improve the operating efficiencies of our overall business in Southern Oklahoma and Northern Texas. As we move forward, we remain intensely focused on further increasing our level of vertical integration through increasing our aggregate profile."
