New Engineering and Computing Building to be Constructed at Conventry University

Coventry University has issued an invitation to tender the construction of a new £29m engineering and computing building.

New engineering and computing building

The new building is initially planned to be a seven storey structure (pictured) though the OJEU does say the procurement route will be a single stage design and build form of contract.

The move supports the university's plan to consolidate facilities at its Gulson Road Hospital site. It will create what is described as "activity led learning" in a flexible environment.

In addition a new route will be generated between the new facility and the existing library and new car park structure.

Improvements will also be required to pedestrian routes to link the engineering and computing facility with existing buildings.
