Sunley Turriff (Main contractor)
A new £7.3 million, six floor apartment block incorporating commercial units to the ground floor of this new development in Liverpool city centre. Main contractor, Sunley Turriff, invited ARM to quote for this new innovation. By using panels within the construction the quantity of wind posts within the steel frame were significantly reduced, showing considerable cost savings.
This steel frame building has been infilled with ARM’s fast-track insulated panels and clad externally with traditional brickwork. ARM’s panel was designed to replace tradition blockwork. This panel provided both insulation and stability to the construction. Panels were delivered to site with pre-formed window openings ready to receive glazing by others. These panels had a Frameshield waterproof vapour barrier already factory fitted when arriving on site, therefore eliminating weather dependency in the construction process.
Structural lightweight insulated panel – thermally efficient.
Manufactured to engineered tolerances.
East to install, reducing the needs of wet trades.
Designed to suit the contractors needs.
Waterproof, vapour barrier factory fitted – rapid dry envelope.
Timed deliveries to suit construction programme.
Review and Comment
"Every aspect has been carefully planned. The apartments provide a fresh, contemporary feel, worlds away from other homes in the city. You’ll find open, airy spaces equipped with the latest appliances and fittings. This is city living – and something extra”.
Sales Co-ordinator, Crosby Homes
“After completing this first contract with ARM, I would be keen to incorporate their panel in our next project. Panels were being installed at a rate of one floor per week and I estimate traditional blockwork would possibly take two-three weeks per floor”.
Mark Tuson - Project Manager, Sunley Turriff
