Behaviour Of Calcium Silicate Brick Masonry Under Cyclic Uni-axial Compression


Tests on scaled brick masonry models were carried out to investigate the response of calcium silicate brick masonry under cyclic compressive loading.  Masonry with five different bed joint orientations comprising 0, 22.5, 45, 67.5 and 90 degrees to the loading direction was used.  Envelope stress/strain curves, common point curves and stability point curves were obtained from various cyclic tests.  A simple mathematical model using polynomial functions is presented for loading-unloading-reloading
