Refrigerated storage: New developments (English and French)

Summary

Notes that nowadays most cold stores provide additional services for their clients, termed value added logistics, which can include freezing fresh products, packing, transport, order picking, distribution, stock control etc. This means that cold storage operations are no longer limited to storage but also include a wide range of divergent activities, which implies specific design and layout of the buildings. Goes on to review some of the new developments over the last few years.
