Examining means of improving fire safety


Highlights some of the more recent developments in fire safety products and principles of fire engineering and to demonstrate how these can benefit the architect in the design of buildings without having any undue restrictions.  Discusses: means of escape (including photoluminescent signage, sound alerts and evacuation chairs), fire detection and alarm systems, alarm monitoring, and smoke control.
