Reports on the use of wireless communications applied to building automation systems.  Discusses the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) wireless local area network (WLAN) standard 802.11(a) and 802.11(b) District Sequence Spread Spectrum along with the Bluetooth protocol.  Also discusses the Linux-based operating system applied to building automation and management applications and the associated initiative COBA - Connected Open Building Automation.  Addresses: building operating systems, linking devices, and invisible connections through nanotechnology.
