Petrapave and other forms of ecological paving -drainage systems

Summary

Petrapave is a precast concrete paving system designed to offer positive sealing of the surface. It prevents spills of hydrocarbons penetrating the construction, and being trapped in the underlying construction waiting to give problems for the future, with possible corrosive, toxic, or fire hazards.

This symposium paper (110 Kb PDF) discusses some of the issues surrounding our environment, and the way in which Marshalls have addressed these areas. It aims to give a better insight into the pressures which are building up on specifiers, engineers and materials providers.

Areas in which Marshalls have some really effective solutions are in dealing with hydrocarbon spills, and with looking sensibly at the disposal methods of rainwater run-off.
