Summary |
The importance of using the correct movement joint in large floor and wall tile projects is discussed. It is essential that tiles are free from strains and stresses which can lead to bulging, cracking or displacement from the substrate (debonding). The movement joint should absorb these stresses and strains, preventing damage. However, it is important that the right movement joint is used as there are specific joints for specific types of application. |
