Masonry construction's top contractors in US

Summary

Top US masonry contractors for 2002 are listed according to  sales volume.  Only contractors voluntarily participating in  the survey are shown.  Their combined revenue for 2002 was over $1.1 billion. Figures are given for total and masonry revenue, and type of work carried out.  Regional location is  also indicated.  The commercial/industrial/institutional (CII) market accounted for most of the work with over 74%, while the repair/renovation/restoration market generated just over 13%, and the residential segment was about 11%.  Site amenities and other work accounted for the remainder. McGee Brother Co. Inc. had the lead, doing $83 million in masonry work during 2002, with about 80% residential and the  rest CII.  Its masonry volume was up by about 10% over 2001.
