One house per day in automated prefabrication


Dutch company Burggraaf prefabricates entire houses in an automated operation.  The company supplies houses of very high quality, designed according to customer requirements, at a competitive price and at a speed that can save the customer considerable costs.  The history of the company and  its activities are outlined.  A new prefabrication works was  opened in Leeuwarden in 2002.  Practically all components of  a ready-to-move-in house are produced there. Details are given of the production capacity, construction techniques (in the typical Dutch style), CAD/CAM planning tool, lines for producing interior and exterior walls, joinery, logistics and final assembly at the building site.
