Smooth integration of CENTRIA’s Formawall® Dimension Series® Factory Foamed Metal Panels enabled three different panel styles and profiles to be installed on The Daily Herald’s new $50 million, state-of-the-art Paddock Printing Center in Schaumburg, IL.
“GSI Architects in Cleveland decided on CENTRIA metal panels because of the product’s versatility and the different styles and profiles available,” explains Steve Crawford of Crown Corr, Inc, a CENTRIA dealer. “Dimension Series allowed the architects to choose three very different styles of panels which all integrated to simplify the project’s installation and produce an aesthetically pleasing end result.”
“Dimension Series Panels offer design options that allow an architect to specify one base product design with universal rainscreen, pressure equalized, and drainable joinery, but customize the look of the project with different reveals, profiles, colors and finishes,” adds Tom Maier, CENTRIA Vice President of Sales.
This project also featured Duranar coil coatings in tan, beige, and off-white. Duranar Coil Coatings combine proprietary resin and pigment technologies, and have been proven in more than 30 years of applications under the toughest environmental conditions. Duranar coil and extrusion coatings exceed the industry’s toughest performance specifications.
Formawall® Dimension Series® Factory Foamed Panels, available in a selection of variable reveals and thicknesses and in a range of profile options, may be installed vertically or horizontally, and offer the strength and durability of steel skins with a foamed in place rigid insulating urethane foam core. The one-piece design permits complete, thermally efficient, high performance exterior walls to be installed quickly and economically. In addition to high performance painted finishes, other finish options include textured and embossed Patterned Stainless Steel and Duracast® coating, which offers the look and feel of precast. Windows, louvres and sunshades, all designed for seamless integration, create a complete building exterior system.
