Risk assessment in construction

A computerised risk assessment model was developed for the construction industry, based upon the risk associated with a particular activity and a justification factor for the proposed remedy. The software is menu driven, the user entering appropriate values when prompted by the system. Inputs include: the work activity, equipment, hazardous substances, and the working environment. A numerical value is generated, which is indicative of the risk level. 9 refs.
