$378 Million Bluescope Steel Contract Signed by CSC

Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that it has signed an information technology (IT) services contract with BlueScope Steel Ltd., a leading international flat steel solutions company. The contract, which includes a four-year base period and two two-year options, has a potential value of $378 million (AUD$480 million) if all options are exercised.

Under the agreement, CSC will be responsible for managing and delivering a diverse set of IT services ranging from consulting, applications development and support, disaster recovery, systems integration and end-user services on a variety of technology platforms. These services support the fundamental operational systems crucial to BlueScope Steel's business. CSC has provided similar services to BlueScope since May 2000 and is the company's largest provider of IT services across Asia, New Zealand and North America.

"We have been very pleased with the support, cost-saving initiatives and service delivery improvements provided by CSC," said Andrew Baker, chief information officer of BlueScope Steel. "This new contract recognizes the benefit of working with CSC, and we look forward to continuing our relationship."
