Canam Canada to Launch New BuildMaster Approach in Canada and New England

Canam Canada, a business unit of Canam Group Inc. (TSX: CAM), today announced that its new BuildMaster approach will be launched on the Canadian and New England market by the end of this summer.

In a sphere of activity often criticized for low productivity on job sites, the BuildMaster approach is designed to make the entire construction process safer, faster and greener. It is a completely new way of thinking about how the structural steel frames of buildings are designed, built and erected.

BuildMaster will target Canam's principal partners, namely steel erectors and fabricators, general contractors, architects and engineers. Building owners, developers and managers will reap considerable benefits from the BuildMaster approach, including increased on-site productivity, improved safety on construction sites and strong support for their sustainable development efforts.

"A dedicated team has been working on this project for over two years now," said Joël Nadeau, vice president of Canam Canada. "BuildMaster is the result of extensive consultations with our customers. We turned customer feedback into action and seized this opportunity to reshape the construction industry. Moreover, BuildMaster involves technological and other elements never used in the commercial and industrial construction sectors before now."

Canam Canada is well on its way to completing the BuildMaster implementation process as well as the first testing phase. The official launch is scheduled for the end of the summer of 2010.
