Leading the way in High-Brightness LEDs, OSRAM Opto Semiconductors is a sponsor of the 2011 Strategies in Light Conference Exhibition. OSRAM Opto Semiconductors’ President and CEO, Aldo Kamper will be a Keynote Speaker at the conference and share fresh insight into the LED world.
Strategies in Light® is an industry conference and exhibition with a focus on High-Brightness LEDs and lighting. This year marks the 12th year for the conference, and since its inception in 1999, it has become the longest-running and the largest conference in the High Brightness LED and lighting industry.
OSRAM Opto Semiconductors will be showcasing their LEDs in applications and bringing some of its top professionals as speakers on February 22-24 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in California.
Dr. Jianzhong Jiao will kick off the Strategies in Light Workshop #1 - Standards for Solid-State Lighting, at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, February 22. Dr. Jiao, Director, Regulations and Emerging Technologies at OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, Inc. is an internationally recognized expert on LED technology development, testing, standards and regulations. During his discussion, Dr. Jiao will address issues surrounding the creation and adoption of industry standards for solid-state lighting. Attendees will leave the workshop familiarized with details of the latest solid-state lighting standards set by the various committees of IESNA, ANSI, EPA, DOE, UL and international standards bodies.
The second day of the conference will feature the new President and CEO of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, Aldo Kamper, as he presents “A Fresh Look at the LED World.” Kamper will address the questions: What revolutionary impacts can the LED still offer? Is the automotive LED market saturated? What specific requirements does the largest market for LED technology, consumer applications, demand from LED manufactures and much more. Workshop attendees will gain insight into the future of LED technology markets as seen through the eyes of one of the top LED lighting manufacturers in the world. OSRAM Opto Semiconductors will also exhibit in booth #504 at the Strategies in Light Conference and Exhibition. As a 2011 Automotive News Pace Award Finalist, OSRAM’s exhibit will include the OSRAM OSTAR Headlamp, the first scalable LED for automotive headlamp applications. The exhibit will also feature a full kiosk of demos highlighting LEDs for general lighting applications including a horticultural lighting demo. For those interested in LEDs for projection, OSRAM will be demonstrating their new phosphor converted green LED technology.
