Carrier Offers Two New Models of Carrier WeatherExpert Commercial Packaged Rooftops

Carrier, specialising in air-conditioning and refrigerating solutions, has announced that it is now offering two new versions of its highly successful and efficient Carrier WeatherExpert Commercial Packaged Rooftops. The product will now be available in 3 to 5 ton sizes.

All the models are ENERGY-STAR rated and meet the rebate levels assigned by the Consortium of Energy Efficiency. They also go beyond the requirements of the Federal minimum energy by 34% and above and have a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio of 17.5.

The models have been designed in order to align with roof curbs that have been fitted with similar Carrier installations over the past 30 years. This can make new installation or replacement easier. The WeatherExpert is fitted with Electronically Commutated Motor (ECM) outdoor fan motor and scroll-compressor with multi speeds. Customers can choose to use either the ECM indoor fan motor or the indoor frequency drive system according to the application. According to VP Commercial sales and Marketing of the company Greg Alcom, the ECM system is energy efficient in both full and partial load conditions and the WeatherExpert has been designed so that it can be used in simple electro-mechanical controls, in-depth diagnostic controls which are set up through a visual scrolling marquee and i-Vu controls for efficient building controls. The Carrier WeatherExpert comes with various additional options such as smoke detectors and energy efficient air economizers. These units can also be converted to create horizontal airflow in accordance with a job site. Maintenance is easy since the unit can be accessed easily. According to Greg Alcom, these units have been designed to provide the company’s customers with comfort and efficiency at a lower operating cost.
