The Global Headquarters of Newell Rubbermaid located in Atlanta has been designated as BOMA 360 Performance Building.
This recognition was provided by the Building Owners and Managers Association International. The validation is given to commercial properties that implement the best practices in the management and operation of buildings.
Newell Rubbermaid was recognised since it made use of solutions from its Rubbermaid Commercial Products brand for recycling products, material handling, washroom solutions, green cleaning solutions, enforcing the well-being of workers, and maintaining green practices and sustainability. Specific features that resulted in this recognition were the installation of automatic water faucets, flush valves and consumables in the washroom and the usage of the HYGEN Clean Water System where commercial green products and cleaning equipment are used. The certification is done based on evaluation in six areas which are building management and operations, life safety/security/risk management, energy, training and education, tenant relations/community involvement and environment/sustainability.
The global headquarters of Newell Rubbermaid has implemented various systems such as Indoor Air Quality Program, Water Management, Building Energy Management Plan, Traffic Reduction Program and Waste Management and Recycling Program. The operations staffs of the company is emergency response certified and its facilities staff participate regularly in training programs and are active members in groups such as BOMA.
