Architectural Testing Announces Addition of Large Scale Vertical Furnace to Fire Testing Facility

Architectural Testing, Inc. (ATI) announces the latest addition to their suite of fire testing equipment, the Large Scale Vertical Furnace.

This new apparatus expands ATI's scope of fire performance standards to the following: ASTM E 119 - Standard Test Method for Fire Tests of Building Construction and Materials, UL 10B – Fire Tests of Door Assemblies, UL 10C – Positive Pressure Fire Tests of Door Assemblies, UL 263 – Fire Tests of Building Construction and Materials, UL 9 – Fire Tests of Window Assemblies, NFPA 251 – Standard Methods of Tests of Fire Resistance of Building Construction and Materials, NFPA 252 – Standard Methods of Fire Tests of Door Assemblies, and NFPA 257 – Standard on Fire Test for Window and Glass Block Assemblies. ATI's new 12 ft. by 14 ft. Large Scale Vertical Furnace evaluates the fire-resistance performance of windows, doors, dampers, penetration seals, joint systems, and walls. "The vertical furnace allows us to test building products to the standardized fire exposure required by the code," explains Matt Freeborn, ATI Manager – Fire Testing. "Along with our Product Listing Program, we are fully equipped to provide our building product customers with performance data and the mark of conformity necessary to enter the marketplace with confidence."
