The project will include street-level retail and office space, residential units, and a parking garage.

Demolition and mass grading are already complete and foundations are underway to make way for the $25 million project. The new development will offer 125 high-end residential units with one- to three-bedroom floor plans, 12,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space for lease, as well as 7,000 square feet of store-front office along Blue Ridge Avenue. The new concrete parking structure will have approximately 385 spaces.

"The project is in one of Atlanta's most popular neighborhoods," said Michael Brown, senior vice president of Gilbane Building Company. "We see this as a great opportunity for us to be a part of Poncey-Highland's mission of supporting neighborhood businesses and we are looking forward to its impact on the community."

The parcel of land is located on North Highland Avenue, a half block south of Ponce de Leon Avenue. Construction is slated for completion in late summer of 2016.
