Guardian Industries Unveils SunGuard Architectural Glass Series

Guardian Industries, a Michigan-based manufacturer of fabricated glass items, float glass, fiberglass insulation and other construction materials required for automotive, residential and commercial applications, has unveiled SunGuard SNX 62/27.

The product is the latest in the SunGuard SuperNeutral (SN) series of architectural glass products.

The SunGuard SNX 62/27 allows increased amount of natural light inside the building, and improves the solar heat gain to increase the glazing light-to-solar gain ratio to 2.30. The improved light-to-solar gain ratio widens the choice of design alternatives and functional possibilities thus making a number of projects to become eligible for LEED points. The SNX 62/27 series offers a viable solution for the architects who suggest the use of glass exteriors for commercial projects.

SunGuard SNX 62/27 aims to assist the buildings to improve their performance with no excessively reflective or dark exteriors. The product is offered in a range of colors and appearance choices for use in commercial type of coatings with flexibility in applications. The SunGuard SNX 62/27 is available in five types of float glass substrates such as Twilight Green, Clear, Green, Ultra-white, and CrystalGray.
