H+H Celcon Promote the Unique Rå House System at CIH Exhibition

H+H Celcon will be promoting the unique Rå House system on stand 378, hall Q at the CIH Exhibition, Harrogate, 19-21 June 2007.

Rå House is a combined product and labour package which produces a robust aircrete masonry envelope in a build time comparable to frame systems. It uses H+H Celcon Plus blocks with the Thin-Joint system for the external and internal walls, with proprietary intermediate floors and a weather-tight roof ready for tiling. Celcon Foundation blocks and the Celcon Flooring System for the ground floor are optional extras. Well-practiced teams of Expert Installers are able to build the envelope in extra-quick time and ensure a superior build quality. The concept offers similar build speed to frame systems but without the lead-time required for manufacture, and offers greater design flexibility.

Commented Ian Exall, head of marketing for H+H UK: “The concept is going from strength to strength. The network of Recommended Contractors for Rå House has doubled in size during the past year and an increasing number of housing associations around the UK are now using the system.”

H+H Celcon will also be running two free CPD seminars at the Cairn Hotel, Harrogate on Thursday 21 June. They will follow the successful format of the previous series and will focus on:

  • The Code for Sustainable Homes - an overview of the Code and a look at the implications for the design and construction of the building fabric.
  • Building Regulations Part L and Part E - an update showing how Celcon aircrete performs in relation to the regulations and how this affects compliance with the Code. Issues to be covered will include airtightness, solutions to 0.25W/m²K, Robust Details for housing and thermal linear bridging solutions.
  • The future of masonry construction - the Celcon Thin-Joint System, Rå House and other systems. Those attending will be able to watch a live demonstration of the Thin-Joint System at the venue.
