Spragues’ Supplies Concrete Products for Caltrans Road Project

Spragues’ Ready Mix Concrete, a family owned business engaged in supplying of concrete in Southern California, declared that it has finished a number of decorative concrete projects in the metro area of Los Angeles on behalf of Caltrans, a state agency.

Caltrans is entrusted with the planning of the rail transportation; bridges and highway projects of the state complete their constructions and maintain them. The agency supervises over 50,000 mi of freeway and highway lines in California. Caltrans has selected Spragues’ for the projects after knowing its experience and expertise in the manufacture of distinctive concrete mixes needed to meet the exclusive application requirements.

Spragues’ supplied a specially manufactured decorative concrete mixture including an Adobe colored concrete mix. The decorative stamped concrete was placed closed to the state highway to offer a decorative paved area for Caltrans to assist in easy maintenance. The project while improving the strength of the state roadways also facilitated easy maintenance by the state highways. Spragues’ has completed the concrete projects in Southern California in association with Baltazar Construction, a Covina, CA-based company.

Baltazar Construction, which was responsible for placing and finishing the stamped concrete products supplied by Spragues’ encountered logistic problems in managing the high traffic volume in the area. The company managed to place the stamped concrete during the night hours to overcome the problem of placing the stamped concrete that will serve the community in Southern California for a number of years.
