Inland American Communities Builds Student Housing Development in California

Inland American Communities Group has reported that the University House Fullerton, which is a 388,000 sq. ft green point-rated, mixed-use development along with retail space, is progressing in Fullerton, California. The company has planned to open the University House Fullerton for the students of the California State University at Fullerton (CSUF) in the summer of 2013.

Inland American Communities’ Executive Vice President, John Allums, has stated that the company is elated to form a unique housing community, one block to the southern part of CSUF. This project is situated perfectly and brings the greatly required off-campus residential housing and main street retail space of 30,000 sq. ft for serving the 35,000 students of the university.

The design of the University House Fullerton contains 358,000 sq. ft of residential space, which includes 1,189 beds spread over a four-story building with balconies, 350 apartment units and a seven-story covered garage with over 1,400 parking spaces. Dining, retail and entertainment will be the characteristic of the main level.

Douglas Leeds, Inland American Retail Management’s leasing director, has commented that the retail space will be benefited from the 24/7 arrival of students, who are present in the community. Additionally, there will be around 125 parking spaces exclusively assigned for the customers, who need easy access to shops and restaurants.

Inland American Retail Management will handle the retail and Vanguard Commercial will direct the retail leasing efforts. The location of the University House Fullerton will be at 555 N in the Commonwealth Ave. of Fullerton in California.
