ESAB Welding and Cutting Products Opens Automation Process Center in Florence,South Carolina

ESAB Welding and Cutting Products, has declared the opening of its latest automation process center located at its facility in Florence, South Carolina. The new showroom measuring 5,000 sq. ft., comprise meeting facilities, training room and a demonstration area concentrating on the welding automation products of the company. The opening function was attended by Senators and other local officials.

The renovated demo lab includes a variety of fully operable automation equipment such as fully operable Hybrid Laser Arc Welding System, robotic welding system, side beam welders, new Telbo telescopic beam system of ESAB, column and boom equipment, and tractors. The company also provides an array of material handling systems, cutting systems and automated welding equipment for use in manufacturing industries such as bridge/structural, paper mill and wind power.

The process center renovated at a cost of over $500,000 boasts of over a dozen welding equipment arrangements to showcase and demonstrate client applications. The center contains every type of packages and systems such as plain tractor welding packages to hybrid laser systems. The process center keeps demonstration equipment worth over $3 million.

Andrew Masterman, ESAB North America’s president and CEO, stated that the new facility will enable the company to showcase its automation solutions to its clients all over the North America and offer training to clients to make most from the use of the equipment. He added that the new center will also enable the company to emphasize on some of the new technologies available to help the clients to remain more productive.
