General Equipment Launches Rip-R-Stripper for Removing Floor Coverings

General Equipment has launched the CTS12 Rip-R-Stripper, a new machine developed for removing floor coverings. This equipment simplifies the removal of hardwood floor, ceramic tile and other solid floor coverings.

General Equipment Company's CTS12 Rip-R-Stripper™

The CTS12 Rip-R-Stripper operates as a tool carrier system for electric-powered breakers with rates ranging from 30 to 45 foot-pounds of force. It includes Bosch, Hilti, Hitachi and Makita models of breakers. The CTS12, unlike the casual orbit-type tile stripper machines, provides a direct force to penetrate glues, mastics and thin-set materials that are strong.

The CTS12 is designed to improve visibility, movement and control and its configuration is arranged in such a way that it enables users to function electric-powered breakers in a vertical position. Operating electric-powered breakers in a vertical position helps maximize productivity and at the same time minimizes strain on the users’ lower backs and knees. Operators can adjust the handle, which is covered with rubber to reduce vibration for working comfortably. The handle can also be folded for easy transport and storage.

Breakers can be quickly attached to the floor covering remover and the angle of the blow force can be adjusted easily to suit different bond strengths and material types. The CTS12 requires a regular 115VAC, 15-ampere power to operate the unit.

The CTS12 Rip-R-Stripper helps rental center operators to earn more revenue by using the electric-powered breakers for their inspections.

Besides the CTS12, General Equipment also provides a range of 1-1/8-in-hexagon-by-6-in shank tools. Scraper blades and chisels are also included in these accessory tools for managing different floor-covering removal projects.
