Construction to Commence Shortly on 550-Acre Master Planned Industrial Rail Park

Frontier Logistics and Kyle Kinsel today announced that construction will begin shortly on the 550 Acre Master Planned Industrial Rail Park, the Permian Rail Park. It is located approximately 6 miles west of Big Spring, TX and 30 miles east of Midland, TX.

The Permian Rail Park lays in the heart of the Wolfcamp and Cline Shale plays in the Permian Basin and within 100 miles of the Delaware Basin’s Bone Springs Shale, Avalon Shale and Wolfbone play.

The Permian Rail Park will serve industrial tenants and users of all sizes -- ranging from large distribution and manufacturing centers to small rail users. It will also serve oil field service and oil midstream companies looking to transport products to and from the Permian Basin. With the park’s length and rail accessibility it will be capable of handling multiple unit trains per day as well as providing manifest rail service to various end users and partners within the park. In addition, parcel sales, land leases and build to suit services will be available, all with full rail access. With 2.5 miles of highway frontage the developers see it as an ideal location for industrial service companies that are looking for good exposure from the freeway and are not in need of rail access.

With rail entering the back of the property and Interstate 20 directly in the front, the rail park’s location gives trucks safe access off of the Interstate by making it unnecessary to cross either the existing main line or development tracks, lowering the risk of accidents and preventing costly delays from blocked tracks.

The developers chose this property because it is located within 4 miles of 10 major pipelines used to carry petroleum products to and from refineries. This makes it an ideal location for a crude oil storage, blending or processing facility. They also see this as a logistical hub for the Cline and Wolfcamp Shale plays.

The Permian Rail Park is being developed by Frontier Logistics and Kyle Kinsel, the lead developers of Mission Rail Park located South of San Antonio. The team is on track to meet their August 2013 deadline for Mission Rail Park and expect to have the Permian Rail Park operational by the second quarter of 2014.
