Design-Build Engineering Firm WPCS Wins Renewable Energy Project from Meskwaki Nation

WPCS International Incorporated (Nasdaq: WPCS), a leader in design-build engineering services for communications infrastructure, has announced that it has been awarded a contract from the Meskwaki Nation for a renewable wind energy project.

The Meskwaki Nation is the Sac and Fox Tribe of the Mississippi based in Tama, Iowa that was created as part of the Indian Reorganization Act of 1934. It is governed by a Tribal Council entrusted with the welfare of over 1,300 members. The settlement land includes 7,000 acres in two counties. Through the Tribe's gaming facility, they have been able to continually improve their people's quality of life.

The project is for the installation of meteorological towers to determine the viability of the future implementation of wind turbines for renewable energy. WPCS will provide engineering and consulting services that will include furnishing and installing the towers, collecting data, issuing wind assessment reports, providing wind analysis reports and tower maintenance.

Tom Gearing, Wind Study Technical Principal Investigator of the Meskwaki Nation commented, "We are committed to improving the quality of life for the Tribe which includes the implementation of renewable energy solutions for the future. We chose WPCS to conduct the initial analysis regarding the possible implementation of wind turbines because of their outstanding reputation for delivering quality engineering services in the renewable energy sector. We look forward to the completion of this project."

Jim Heinz, Executive Vice President for WPCS, commented, "We are very pleased to be selected for this important project. We see the Meskwaki Nation Tribal Council as leaders in the move to deploy renewable energy solutions that will lessen dependence on fossil fuels. We intend to work diligently to provide the highest quality of services for the Meskwaki Nation."
