Del-Sano Contracting Completes Parking Spot Projects at Newark Liberty International Airport

Del-Sano Contracting, a Union, N.J., headquartered construction management, design/build and general contracting company, declared that it has completed two construction projects for the Parking Spot at Newark Liberty International Airport and the ribbon-cutting was celebrated on 20th October.

The Parking Spot McClellan is located at 176-192 McClellan Street, and the Parking Spot 2 previously known as Skypark is situated at 350 Carnegie Avenue and both the parking lots are built to meet the parking requirements of air travelers.

The Parking Spot McClellan project provides valet parking assistance for air travelers. In the construction process, a vehicle return area that was in existence and a close by 2,500 sq. ft. office has been renovated into a client lounge and rest area for commuters. Both the exterior and the interior of the parking facility have been improved with a metal canopy outside, Parking Spot logo, new paint, lighting arrangements, new business desk, cozy furnishing and new finishes. The Skypark Parking Spot 2 is designed as a self-parking facility and built with modular shelters to offer waiting and rest area for the airport users.

Both the parking sites now sport a new line striping for all the parking spaces, lane markers, and a new asphalt pavement. For the purpose of asphalting the surfaces, the company utilized 100% reprocessed milled asphalt for the two projects. The McClellan project also incorporates eco-friendly materials such as acoustical ceiling tiles, millwork, tile and carpet, new perimeter fencing; upgraded site lighting and identification signage has been installed at the parking lots to assist easy parking of vehicles. The entrance points for the vehicle parking facility are roofed and equipped with SKIDATA ticket issuing machines to facilitate installation of gated entry and exit arrangement.
