A global manufacturer of dust and fume collection equipment, Camfil Farr Air Pollution Control (APC) has planned to open a new facility of about 40,000 sq. ft. to serve its customers in the UK and Europe.
The plant is located in the Birch Business Park in Heywood, Greater Manchester, UK, and the work has already begun. This new facility is anticipated to serve customers in January 2013. Around 100 people are expected to be employed for various positions like assembly, welding, metal fabrication and manufacturing.
Rick Kreczmer, European sales director for Camfil Farr APC, stated that they intend to meet customer’s expectations and needs by supplying products effectively on time for their individual applications such as quality dust collection equipment, which will be formulated to meet their needs. They will also be making an investment in the UK manufacturing plant, which will be significant, and it would allow them to serve the customer base in Europe more effectively.
The company’s President Lee Morgan added that the company has grown in the past five years and this new facility in the UK would help them to respond to the needs of customers in Europe.
Dust collection equipment from Camfil Farr APC helps in cleaning manufacturing processes for safer and productive plant settings. Other applications include chemical and food processing, fiberglass manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, thermal spray operations, welding, laser and plasma cutting. CE, ATEX and other European requirements are met by Camfil products.
