"That wouldn't be the case unless we offered aluminium manufacturers the chance to showcase their products and highlight their role and judging by the feedback we've had so far, Aluminum in Construction will be a major success."
Experts will be available in the Aluminium in Construction Zone to offer information and advice to the fabricators, systems companies, suppliers, and consultants expected to frequent the area throughout the five-day event. With all the latest technological facts, figures and developments on show, the zone will act as an information hub for the industry and underline the contribution it makes towards major projects both in the UK and around the world. Interbuild 2006 will also feature an Aluminium Trail, which will lead visitors around Hall 9 to the various aluminium companies who have booked stands around the show while further specialist guidance will be found through seminars at the event.
Justin Ratcliffe, CAB Director said: "We're delighted that Interbuild 2006 will feature an Aluminium zone, and it's very fitting because the material is currently experiencing an exciting resurgence in the marketplace.
"This is reflected in the fact that there has been a 50 per cent growth in CAB membership during 2005.
"We have received very positive feedback about the initiative from the sector through our regional networking events, most recently at Brands Hatch, and we are proud to be at the forefront of the sector.
"In addition to technical support, there will be detailed information about CAB's newly launched series of RIBA approved 'Aluminium in Construction' CPD Seminars and a host of other services such as the monthly Aluminium in Architecture E-zine and CAB's technical publications."
A brand new dedicated Timber Zone and a vastly increased off-site construction presence are also being featured at Interbuild 2006, underlining the determination to bring together all aspects of the construction industry under one roof at the show.
Gordon Thomas added: "Interbuild creates an exciting environment that brings buyers and suppliers together and helps to create lasting relationships for the benefit of the whole construction industry.
"These specialist areas underline how the show is the leading event for sharing best practice, informing on new product development and reviewing technological advancements."
