ThyssenKrupp Access Introduce First Residential Elevator

ThyssenKrupp Access has introduced the first fully customizable residential elevator in the world, The Signet. Based on the same state-of-the art operating system that is incorporated in the USA’s number one selling residential elevator brand, The LEV.

The Signet allows the owner more control over the interior finishes in their home elevator. “More and more builders, designers and architects were bringing us requests for something truly out of the ordinary” says Jim Quinly, General Manager, Residential Elevator Division, ThyssenKrupp Access.

The Signet is anything but ordinary. Customers can choose from a wide array of finishes including veneers, glass, marble, granite and decorative metals that will really put a personal stamp on any elevator interior. Consumers can even use the new “Design Your Own Cab” feature that can be found on the ThyssenKrupp Access web site to get a preview of what their new home elevator could look like.

“Peoples homes are a reflection of them and can be highly personal. We want our customers to feel that whatever design statement they want to make, we can accommodate. If they can dream it we can build it,” Quinly said.

The Signet, like the LEV, is available in both the popular counterweighted chain drive system that eliminates the need for an additional machine room, and the roped hydraulic system.

The Signet was first shown in January at the International Builders Show in Orlando and will be previewed again at the Pacific Coast Builders Conference in San Francisco this June.
