New colour coded CAT6 cable containment system

With high speed CAT6 cabling systems becoming more popular in commercial buildings and ‘wired’ smart houses, the cables need to be securely laid to ensure no interference with the data transmission.

To meet this level of cable support and protection the Cablemat Containment System has been developed and is available from Support Comms. Standard Cablemat is a lightweight, fire retardant, halogen free and anti static sheet, formed from10mm polypropylene. Lightweight, yet exceptionally strong, it is easy to install and is cut to widths to suit any requirement and is available in range of colour options to indicate cable routing layouts within a project.

Ramps, bridges and raised cablemat are all available to avoid obstacles or to raise the cables off the floor. The anti static finish prevents any static electric charge that may build during cable installation being transferred to the data in the cables, also prevents the build up of dust that can occur with some plastics properties.
