Sustainability in housing increasing

The UK’s biggest housebuilders have indicated an increase in efforts towards sustainable development.

The information comes from a survey by WWF’s One Million Sustainable Homes campaign with Insight Investment of the 13 largest housebuilding companies. They achieved an average score of 35% and an increasing willingness to incorporate sustainable efforts into operations was noted.

Although increasing sustainable practices, the study also found disclosure of information on environmental issues to be lacking.
