Using superior products such as Armstrong Flooring, FloorMall intends to lead an environmentally conscious driven campaign to meet the ever-expanding needs of the green flooring market. It is becoming clear to both vendors and consumers alike that green flooring is not just an alternative for the eco-friendly consumer, but a comparable, if not often superior, flooring product.
FloorMall has initiated this campaign for several reasons. First, FloorMall has been flourishing as an internet flooring retailer in recent years and is looking to expand its consumer base with the newest and most innovative products in the industry. Second, FloorMall sees real potential in sustainable building solutions, like Armstrong floors, bamboo and cork flooring. It is clear that the sensibilities of the consumer, insofar as their environmental conscientiousness, have never been higher. Third, we have seen much success in pursuing the green market already and we will continue to succeed by carving out a larger piece of this market.
The Green Flooring Campaign mainly promotes cork and bamboo flooring product lines, and in addition to these FloorMall also offers the Global Exotic collection from Armstrong flooring. Cork and bamboo flooring has led the green flooring revolution. Each of these materials allows a diversity in color, texture and design that rivals that of wood, tile and linoleum flooring, while being manufactured with environmentally sustainable materials.
All of Natural Cork's cork flooring comes from trees which are not felled for their cork and can live for as long as two centuries. Furthermore, a percentage of all of cork flooring is made from recycled cork. By using materials otherwise destined for landfills, Natural Cork is consciously helping reduce the amount of waste that goes into dumps and landfills, while also cutting down on the CO2 emissions released when such materials are left to decompose.
The great thing about bamboo flooring is that bamboo is the most replenishable plant on earth. Growing at a rate of up to a meter in a single day, bamboo can be harvested for commercial use after just six years of growth, in contrast with trees that can take decades to be replenished. In addition, bamboo is the second most efficient converter of carbon dioxide to oxygen on earth, exceeded only by marine algae.
