Less Is More With Revolutionary Electric Locks From Abloy Security

Abloy Security’s innovative range of multi-function electric locks provide optimum security and safety while enabling stockists to reduce the cost and complexity of stocking multiple lockcase types, as well as reducing the time required for both specification and installation. The range offers, among many other benefits, the potential to reduce stockholding significantly throughout the delivery chain by up to 90%.

Designed for the simplest specification and installation possible, the multi-function properties of the range caters for all possibilities in a single lockcase. The locks are non-handed, 12-24V, fail locked or unlocked, with all of these options being easily field selectable during installation. In addition, the locks are available with a choice of motor or solenoid operation, can be fitted to all types of timber and metal doors, and be used to retrofit their equivalent lockcase within the previous series.

For the highest levels of security, manipulation or abuse of the deadbolt is impossible on the motor lock version; if the bolt should be triggered manually while the door is open it will be withdrawn, deadlocking only when the door closes. To ensure a safe exit in an emergency, however, free egress is always allowed by the inside lever handle, while mechanical override by key comes as standard for authorised personnel.

Having recognised that standards and guidelines are a key deciding factor when specifying electric locks, not only to ensure compliance but also to offer complete peace of mind, ABLOY® has developed the range to comply with the latest EN standards. These include EN179 and EN1125 for emergency and panic exit doors and EN1634-1 for fire resistance. Additionally, the locks are CE marked and have been fully tested to the impending standards for burglary, PrEN1627, and mechanical resistance, prEN12209-1.

The range offers the most comprehensive selection of status monitoring of any electric lock currently available, including bolt position, door open, cylinder and handle operation. This enables them to be easily incorporated in access control, exit or fire systems and improves employee or visitor audit trails.

Secure, flexible and versatile the range ensures you will never be without the right electric lockcase, and with ABLOY high security DIN door cylinders and Futura handles all provided by Abloy Security, the complete package can all be selected from one source.
