Standard Blocks - Lightweight Aircrete Blocks for External Wall Construction

Celcon Standard blocks have been value engineered to combine strength, high thermal performance, good acoustic and fire properties, whilst retaining the lightweight characteristics of aircrete.

Manufactured to a compressive strength of 3.5N/mm², Celcon Standard can be used to meet the structural performance criteria of most houses up to three stories. Their inherent thermal properties provide a significant contribution to the overall energy conservation of a building and can reduce the amount of additional insulation required compared to other types of lightweight or dense aggregate blockwork with a similar strength.

Celcon Standard blocks being light and easy to handle, provide many benefits for the site operative. CONIAC sheet 37 advises that “With block handling the risk of injury is largely determined by the weight of the block”. All blocks up to 265mm thick meet the CONIAC manual handling requirements for health and safety.

Identified by its distinctive V-key which runs across the full face of the block as well as by a bar code label on the outer packaging.
