BILD Honors Monarch as 2010 Home Builder of the Year

The Monarch Corporation was named 2010 Home Builder of the Year by the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) at the 30th Annual BILD Awards, held April 30, 2010.

The Home Builder of the Year award was established by BILD in 1998 to recognize the builder who sets the standard for the rest of the industry by their leadership in improving the overall image of the industry. The award is based on quality, service and customer commitment from the moment the agreement of purchase and sale is signed right through to post-closing service period. The winner is determined based on the Association's survey of the builder's recent occupants in various communities.

"While the competition was exceedingly close this year, Monarch managed to come out on top thanks to the rankings and testimonials of its purchasers," said BILD President and CEO Stephen Dupuis, who added that "Monarch has been a finalist for this award many, many times, reflecting remarkable consistency in the very demanding arena of customer satisfaction."

"We tend to assume that only disgruntled consumers fill out surveys but Monarch's purchasers took the time to offer effusive comments on every aspect of their home buying experience," he said.

Dupuis added that a number of purchasers were previous Monarch homebuyers while many of the first-time Monarch buyers offered the ultimate testimonial, declaring that they would be buying their next home from Monarch as well.

"With most homebuyers shopping based on location and price, there are very few homebuilders that can claim the kind of brand loyalty that Monarch enjoys," he concluded.
