Panolam Continues to Make Indoor Air Quality Top Priority

The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI) congratulates Panolam Industries International, Inc. for achieving GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification of their FRL(TM) Fiber Reinforced Laminate.

Earlier in the year, GREENGUARD awarded certification to Panolam high-pressure laminates lines: Pionite(R), Micastat(R), ChemGuard, and MelCor II(R). The GEI tests all GREENGUARD Certified products to the stringent GREENGUARD Standards for Low Emitting Products and monitors the products on a continual basis. Designers and facility managers can specify GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified(R) Panolam FRL for a variety of wall surfacing applications including hospitals and schools.

Indoor air quality should be of the highest concern in any indoor environment, but special consideration should be taken for spaces where occupants are more sensitive to chemicals like hospital patients and children. All types of interior finishes and materials can release potentially dangerous levels of chemicals into the air people are breathing all day. GREENGUARD has certified an assortment of low emitting wall surfacing options for architects, designers, and facility managers to choose.

The GREENGUARD Product Guide catalogs all types of interiors products including laminate wall surfacing, paint, vinyl wallcovering, and textile options.

All GREENGUARD Certified Products can be used and specified with the confidence that they will not harmfully impact the indoor air and the well being of occupants.
