Ecosphere Associates has declared the availability of TXTR-LITE, a stone veneer in 10 natural stone colors. The exclusive and thin stone laminate can be folded and cut with hand shears.

The TXTR-LITE utilizes the first layer of a natural stone slab, which has been pasted to a polyester/fiberglass resin substrate. The new and exclusive fused laminate is sturdy and can be used as a decorative stone veneer for both outdoor and indoor applications. The weightless product comes handy in places where a natural stone finish is needed without the hassles of carrying heavy natural stone paying exorbitant transportation charges.

The TXTR-LITE product can be bent to a minimum of 4” radius level instead of having numerous wet-saw cuts with a real stone saving time as well as costs. The fiberglass strands adhered at the back to provide strength for the product is waterproofed and provide improved strength and flexibility. In shower installations, the product can be fixed directly over the existing tile without the need for removing or remodeling the plumbing arrangement. The real stone look product can be easily fixed over the bathroom floor, back splash, door front, and over a cabinet face.

Long nosed tin snips can be used for cutting curves and straight lines and can also be cut with a carbide blade, table saw, wet saw or a metal shear. By leaving a grout joint in between the cut pieces, the TXTR-LITE can create a tiled effect. Both acrylic premixed grout and water-based epoxy work efficiently to fill in the gap between the sheets.
