Rigid Introduces Cordless Adhesive/Caulk Gun

RIDGID® has introduced a new 18-volt Cordless Adhesive/Caulk Gun (Model R84040) that can handle a wide variety of jobsite applications. It is designed to use 10.1 oz or 30 oz. tubes of caulk, construction adhesive or roofing sealer. It also comes with a
limited lifetime service agreement.

The 18-volt adhesive/caulk gun features a dual capacity tube holder that can apply caulk, adhesives, or sealers from either 10.1 or 30 oz. tubes. There are no special fittings or attachments needed to go from one size tube to the other, saving workers time. It has an adjustable speed control that allows for consistent bead application, which enhances the quality of the work and means less need for clean up or call backs at the end of a job. It also features a lock-off button to prevent any accidental start-ups that would lead to drips.

It has a heavy duty joist follower to aid in adhesive application to studs and joists, and a conveniently attached piercing tool so workers never have to waste time looking for a nail or wire to get a tube started. The R84040 has over-mold on the handles and switch for added comfort during extended use and a two-finger plunger rod grip, making it easy to grip even with gloves on. The compact battery pack provides plenty of power and comes with a Rapid MaxTM charger, which is capable of charging the battery pack in only 20 minutes.
