HeidelbergCement strengthens its position in Northern Europe

HeidelbergCement signed an agreement for the purchase of the two Danish operations Randers Cement and DK Beton. Randers Cement operates a terminal for the import of cement with an annual sales volume of about 200,000 tonnes. The cement is distributed to customers in the western parts of Denmark. With 24 plants spread all over the country and approximately 200 employees, DK Beton is one of the major players on the Danish ready-mixed concrete market.

HeidelbergCement will integrate these acquisitions into its Northern European network of operations to participate in the expected positive growth of the Danish market over the coming years.
